PLANTWORX / CONQUIP

As the UK’s largest biennial construction equipment exhibition, Plantworx 2023 welcomed over 14,000 attendees from across the construction industry. Hosted from 13th to 15th June at the East of England Arena & Events Centre in Peterborough, the event showcased the latest in construction machinery, technology, and innovation.

In collaboration with Driven PR, we partnered with Conquip, a leading provider of compliant, value-engineered construction equipment and solutions, to deliver an unforgettable brand presence across the three-day event.

Conquip’s made their mark with sponsorship of their first-ever Excavator Challenge. Operators were tasked with using Excavator Forks to place basketballs into Autolock Tipping Skips—a challenge that demanded real precision, patience, and control. The activation drew significant attention and provided the perfect platform for engaging, high-impact content.

On-Event Content Creation

We produced a comprehensive library of content for Conquip, spanning high-end photographydynamic video, and social-first short-form footage, all crafted for immediate turnaround and maximum impact.

Our daily brief included capturing and editing vertical (9:16) video content for same-day social media publishing. We worked closely with key construction influencers such as Connor the Digger Driver and Bearded Excavation UK, delivering authentic, high-performing content that connected with Conquip’s audience.

In addition to real-time social coverage, we created cinematic 16:9 testimonial videos, event highlight reels, and premium photo assets that captured the energy of the event and the strength of Conquip’s on-site presence.

We’re already looking ahead to Plantworx 2025, taking place at Newark Showground from 23rd to 25th September. With even bigger moments and bolder innovations on the horizon, we’re excited to continue pushing creative boundaries, if you are exhibiting at Plantworx drop us a message to discuss how A7 Media can support you on event and maximise your engagement.

The operation and the process of capturing the footage was not without challenges. Unpredictable British weather caused delays in port access and unloading. Traffic congestion and motorway restrictions made progress slow, and the sheer size of the convoy meant it was often difficult to reposition and get back ahead of the load to capture the right shots.

Thanks to meticulous planning, agile teamwork, and sheer determination, we successfully tracked and filmed the entire journey through a combination of dronecamera operators at key vantage points along the routemultiple action cameras mounted on both the transport vehicle and HX1000A L, and car-to-car filming from support vehicles. Every angle, every challenge, and every moment was captured as the HX1000A L made its way to be assembled on-site at Hillhead.

This was a project where teamwork truly made it happen—and the results are every bit as big and bold as the machine itself.
