The MICHELIN Guide Ceremony GB&I

In February, Glasgow played host to one of the culinary world’s most anticipated nights—the unveiling of the MICHELIN Guide Great Britain & Ireland’s annual restaurant selection. The event took place across two of the city’s most iconic venues: the historic Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum and the vibrant Old Fruit Market. For A7 Media, it marked the fourth consecutive year partnering with MICHELIN to capture the spirit, celebration, and significance of this prestigious event.

Having supported over ten MICHELIN Guide Ceremonies across the UK and Europe, our team came to Glasgow with a deep understanding of what was needed—not just technically, but emotionally. These are nights of elation, of ambition realized, of kitchens and careers changing in real time. Our role is to preserve those moments with clarity and authenticity, and to deliver content at the pace today’s digital landscape demands.

Preparation Meets Precision

With the 2025 ceremony split across two bustling venues, meticulous planning was critical. We worked closely with MICHELIN’s team to map every movement, from the stage reveals to the afterparty, to ensure our coverage was as seamless as it was comprehensive. We planned for lighting challenges, mapped optimal camera routes, and set up rapid editing stations to keep up with real-time content demands.

Event Day: High Stakes, Real Time

On the ground, our photography team was composed of two seasoned shooters supported by a live editor, ensuring that the first cheers, tears, and triumphs were social-ready within minutes. At the same time, our video team—armed with static cameras and agile gimbals—captured the formalities on stage and the emotion in the crowd.

As chefs took to the stage to receive their stars, we followed their journeys from spotlight to soundbite, capturing everything from proud handshakes to spontaneous celebrations in the crowd. Behind the scenes, edits were being turned around in real time to fuel MICHELIN’s social channels and media releases.

Delivering More Than Content

By the close of the evening, A7 Media had delivered more than just files—we’d delivered a living record of the event.

A steady stream of live-edited photography for MICHELIN’s social publishing, shortly followed by a gallery of over 40 images for press use, alongside capturing Over 40 press-ready images alongside local TV interview footage for media outlets

Post-event, we delivered:

A full gallery of 500+ carefully edited photographs, capturing the energy of both the ceremony and the lively afterparty, a range of both 9:16 and 16:9 video content, tailored for both social and corporate use

Looking Ahead

Glasgow reminded us why we do what we do. Capturing a night that changes lives, and doing it under pressure, is what drives us. It’s a challenge we thrive on—and a trust we’ve earned, year after year.

Next stop: the Nordics. Different city, same commitment. At A7 Media, we don’t just cover events. We help define how they’re remembered.
